Martial Arts for Children

The Academy incorporates the discipline and skills of a traditional martial arts school, but in a unique and fun manner for our students. The physical benefits are profound, as children practice kicking, punching, blocking, yelling, stretching, running and jumping during each class.

In addition, our students develop in Body, Mind and Spirit as they are introduced to our Tenets of  Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. The program is progressive, using belt ranking promotions as a strong motivator. As children get older, their training becomes more serious and intense, as they prepare themselves for consideration in participating in our Adults Martial Arts program!


Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio kickboxing is a combination of boxing and kickboxing workouts inspired by martial arts and fitness training. This intense, total-body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The American Council on Exercise (ACE), which evaluates exercise products and programs, notes that, during a one-hour kickboxing workout, you can burn from 500 to 800 calories, which is up to twice the calories you burn during a one-hour step-aerobics class.



In an atmosphere of support, students learn to de-escalate or escape potentially violent situations through assertiveness, confrontation and self-defense techniques. Students will learn boundary assertion skills, physical defenses against grabs, bear hugs, pinned situations, and other types of assault. Class format includes discussions, physical training, and information about support services.

Martial Arts for Adults

For adults, martial arts classes provide a fun and challenging exercise routine and offer a great alternative to traditional gym workouts. Our classes build strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination, and foster an overall sense of well-being. 

Regardless of whether you want to become a competitive athlete, learn self-defense techniques or simply become more physically fit, this program will help you achieve your goal. You develop increased endurance and muscle tone, improve balance, quicker reflexes, and most importantly, a greater sense of well-being.

Keep in mind that no previous experience is required. And if you do have some experience in martial arts, this program is a great place to rediscover the many benefits of martial arts training.
