CONGRATULATIONS TO NEW JR. CONGRATULATIONS TO SABUMNIMS HARRISBURG (Dec. 17) Sabumnims Megan Loder and AJ Ensminger were promoted to 3rd Dan after being tested by Grandmaster Joe Fox. Both Sabumnims have been with the Academy for more than 10 years, and if any one is more deserving of testing and earning their ranks, its these two. We're all very proud of your achievement!

The WSAMA is very proud to add five new black belts to the Academy's Black Belt
family! Nannette Intrieri, Allyson Heck, Naomi Heck, Denise Corbin and Maureen
Brandt were promoted to 1st Dan By Grandmaster Joe Fox after a rigorous test of
physical and mental challenges.
Also promoted to 1st Dan Sr. ranks were previously 2nd Dan Jr. Black Belts Brandon Vergara and Clay Hazam, and 1st Dan Jr. Black Belt Cameron Rhoad. Rounding off the achievements of WSAMA Black Belts were Shawn Lerew, KC Failor and Howard Zeigler who earned their 2nd Dan! December 10th was a fine day for these 11 overachievers and a very proud moment for the Academy!

WSAMA's HOLIDAY BANQUET 
WSAMA's Annual Holiday Banquet will be
held on Saturday December 3rd at the Capital Area Christian Church, 1775 Lambs Gap
Road, Mechanicsburg. The event, catered by Rubinic's, includes
dinner, awards
ceremony and a performance by WSAMA's own
Demonstration Team. The event starts
at 5pm and the sign up poster is at the school. Click

CONDITION K AT WSAMA CAMP HILL (Dec. 2) Local rock band, Condition K. was chosen by XM Radio DJ's to open for the sold out Bon Jovi concert at the Wachovia Center, Philadelphia on Dec. 2. They rocked wooed the crowd over and they've been non-stop since. Way to go guys!!!! CAMP HILL (Sept. 24) Local rock band, Condition K, performed at the WSAMA on Saturday September 24th. The house rocked. Stay tuned for pix from this rocking event!

CAMP HILL (August 29) In front of a packed
Beginners Class of children and their parents, Master Vergara presented a check
in the
amount of $400 to Samuel Kuba, executive director of the Central PA Chapter of
the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. WSAMA's Grand Re-Opening in July
facilitated the fundraising for this noble cause.
WSAMA GRAND RE-OPENING Camp Hill (July 9) - The West Shore Academy of Martial Arts celebrated its ten year anniversary at our Gettysburg Road location. From 9am to 3pm, the Academy offered classes, seminars, demonstrations, a silent auction, games, food and other activities. A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
RELAY FOR LIFE DEMONSTRATION Dillsburg (June 25) Members of WSAMA's Spitfire Demo Team performed at Northern High School's football field to support participants in their efforts of celebrating survivorship and raising money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society. It was a HOT day for a great cause! I personally want to thank team members Connor Sheaffer, Anne O'Connell, Cole Van Nostrand, Sheila Kirkpatrick, Brian Kirkpatrick, Robert Halbach, Deanna Vergara and Sabumnim Loder for stepping up and accepting a more challenging performance from me! - Master Vergara
WSAMA SUMMER KARATE CAMP 2005 Camp Hill (Aug 1- 5) It has begun! Kids are having a great time taking classes, working drills and games, practicing for a demonstration and greatly anticipating crafts they'll being doing later in the week. Click here for daily pix of the children during camp.
May 30 Memorial Day Parade Students of the WSAMA participated in this year's Camp Hill Memorial Day Parade. The crowds were very entertained with mini -demonstrations performed throughout the march.

April 26 - HOMESCHOOL PROMO CLASS OF 2004-2005 Congratulations to WSAMA's homeschool students who recently tested for the next rank.
March 12 - ADULTS CLASS PROMOTION Promotional testing for Adults Class students was held this date. Next Adults Promotion is scheduled for Saturday June 4th.
March 5 - ERNIE REYES, SR. SEMINAR The WSAMA was honored to have Master Reyes visit our academy recently. Known for his martial arts achievements as a national tournament champion and being involved in a number of Hollywood films has only heightened his status as a "Martial Arts Living Legend." The students were taken by his philosophy on peak performance and achieving success as they went through technical routines which all enjoyed. I for one will count this as a milestone in my martial arts journey as I know it has for others already. Click here to see photos of the seminar.
